1. Are TEAMS limited to 10 ladies?
If you have less than 10 people, let Tiffany Scribner know and she will do her best to find another lady to join your team. If you have 8 ladies, that is fine this year because we are not splitting the cost of limos. Due to space and social distancing, we can only accommodate teams of up to 10 ladies each.
2. What time does everything happen?
3. What should I wear?
Every team member will be wearing a matching color. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and footwear that is seasonally appropriate for both in and outside.
4. Can my husband or children attend?
Nope, this race is for only for the grown-up ladies.
5. Do I have to be in good shape to participate?
You do not need to be in great shape, but you if you have any mobility issues, please contact Tiffany to discuss the extent of movement in some tasks. Many of the tasks will involve no rigorous exercise, but will instead be building something as a team or solving a puzzle.
6. How do we pay for the event?
Team captains are responsible for collecting all cash, checks or paying online via PayPal for their team (check made out to the Lantana Ladies League). The team captain MUST submit all payment at one time to secure their space.
7. How do we get around to the RACE stops?
This year we will be doing things a little differently but still delivering a fun, safe event. Instead of packing ladies into limos to travel to our challenge destinations, we will be hosting the challenges at the NEW Lantana Community Event Center! Challenges will be held inside and out in the great new multi-purpose venue. In fact, this is the FIRST ever fundraising event that will be held here!
8. This is my first social event with others outside my household since Covid-19. What safety protocols are in place to keep members safe?
We will be taking preventative actions recommended by the CDC to prevent the spread of COVID-19 including, but not limited to, maintaining physical distance of at least 6 feet between persons when asked and wearing a mask when social distancing cannot be maintained. We ask members to wear a mask indoors when not eating or drinking. The venue can accommodate 175-200 people, so limiting attendance to 100 participants will give us space to spread out. The venue has large doors that will be opened to increase ventilation throughout the time we are there. Hand sanitizer stations will be in multiple locations for ease of use between challenges. We will also have security on site for the safety of all our members and challenge partners.
9. How do we win the RACE?
Each team will compete based on points earned and time. Teams earn points by completing challenges. Each team must attempt all challenges. All teams must complete the challenges before 9:30 pm. The team with the highest points will win! Teams that skip challenges will be disqualified.
